Some things for which to be thankful this year follow.
- My family is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. My husband is fantastic. My sons are beyond belief wonderful. My parents are healthy, happy and close. My grandmother is alive and very healthy for a matriarch of her age. It is an incredible network, sewn together by heartstrings.
- My friends are great. From my best girlfriend 800 miles away to my best boyfriend a little closer, to my BFF just a few miles away. I love my friends and the wonderful depth they provide me.
- My job is unbelievable. The work itself is always changing and challenging. The company is fantastic and generous. The people with whom I work in my group are fun, silly, professional, and excellent at what they do. It is a privilege to get paid for such a great experience.
- My town is cute-as-a-button. It's like a modern day Mayberry, where you can't go anywhere without running into someone you know. There is camaraderie, cohesiveness ... truly a "village".
- My church is fantastic. The preacher is honest and speaks the truth. I love teaching Sunday School. My fifth grade class is awesome. The minister of music loves what he does and brings a passion to the music. The youth minister is a big kid who the teens really like.
- America. Plain and simply, this is the best nation in the world. Thanks to our soldiers and protectors.
- Books. There's nothing like them to transport you anywhere you want to go, whether you know it or not.
- Music. Music can change your mood. Did you know that? If you listen to music that fits your current mood and slowly change it to fit the mood you want to be in, you will find that your mood will, indeed change. Excellent!
- Senses. Don't you love the smell of roses, the colors of the sky as the sun sets, the sound of a child's belly laugh, the feel of flannel sheets on a winter's night, and that first taste of dark chocolate after a satisfying meal. Love the senses!
