RNC

A member of the Republican National Committee called the house the other day. I very politely told him that he was calling for my husband, and should try again after 6pm. That should have been the end of the conversation, but alas, it was not.

RNC: "Is this Mrs. Milligan?"

ME: "Yes, but my husband is the one affiliated with your organization."

RNC: "Are you interested in doing what is best for the country and fighting those who want to increase government spending and control of citizen's decisions?"

ME: "I want what is best for the country."

RNC: "President Obama is . Don't you agree that we need to fight this mentality ."

ME: "Let me tell you something, I tried to end this conversation very nicely. I am sick of partisanship in this country, and in our leaders. You have used the word 'fight' over and over again. That is what is wrong with things. You lost the election. You need to stop fighting and work with those in power. There needs to be dialogue, not fighting. There needs to be cooperation, not fighting. You need to put your efforts in effecting change, if you don't like the way things are going, and stop trying to rally a mob-like mentality to storm the Bastille. "

RNC: "You are a democrat, Mrs. Milligan?"

ME: "No, I am an American and I vote for the best person for the job, regardless of party. I would suggest you educate yourself and do the same. Goodbye."
