Rush Limbaugh

I am absolutely dumbfounded by why people listen to Rush Limbaugh. Talk about Hate Radio. There are so many things wrong with him that I don't even know where to begin.

First of all, his ego is larger than his girth, if you can even imagine that. He LOVES himself and his opinions. He has little to no respect for anyone else's opinions if they even smell like they may disagree with his. It's not even a monologue, but more of a love-fest he carries on with himself. 'Welcome back, this is Rush Limbaugh, your shining light, the doctor of democracy, the all-knowing, all-sensing, all-caring Maha Rushie…'

Pardon me while I throw up a little in my mouth.

He accused Michael J. Fox of playing up his Parkinson's disease to get stem cell research funded. The "liberal media", the "drive-by media" hate him.

He portrays a persona of "angry white male". Angry at WHAT? Making $400 million? Living on the golf course in Palm Springs?

I think he's mad because there is a black man in the White House, and Rush is three steps away from a white hooded robe and burning cross. I think he could spit nails because he senses the tide is turning away from his brand of hate-talk, and he sees his future in the balance. Just recently, he openly wished President Obama would fail. Who wishes the President of their own country would fail? Why not just burn an American flag, Rush? Oh, no! That would be unpatriotic! But he can wish against the good fortune of my Commander-in-Chief. That's downright baseball and apple pie, if you ask Rush's devoted listeners.

It all reminds me of what I learned long, long ago on a school field trip to the waste treatment plant. You put that waste water in a big vat and let it sit until the poop sinks to the bottom. What's on top can be cleaned and reused. The poop... well, the poop serves as fertilizer so that something useful and worthwhile grows from it. Something we can actually use for the better of everyone.

Yep. Useful and worthwhile. Maybe that is what the next generation of "conservatives" will prove to be.
