Jim and I watched "Three Days of the Condor" last night with Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway. It was on TCM (Turner Classic Movies) and the first thing that struck both of us was that it was unedited! The first "F" word caught us by surprise. Jim said, "Did they just say the "F" word?" That's how ... subtle it was ... if that word can be subtle. Then, when Faye Dunaway said it, it was unmistakable.
Speaking of Faye Dunaway, she was very young in this movie. It was before she had her teeth capped. I don't know who capped her teeth, but they didn't do a very good job and in everything I've seen her in since the capping, that's all I can look at. They are like horse's teeth. But I digress...
I remember watching this movie with my mom on TV a long, long time ago. I remember liking it then and I have wanted several times since to watch it. The library doesn't have it, which is very unusual for the Huntsville library not to have a movie like that from the 1970s. When I saw that it was on TV last night, I was so excited! Jim had never seen it, but had heard of it and was interested in it, too.
It's made from the book, Six Days of the Condor. Isn't that funny? I wonder why they cut it down to 3 days... I may have to do some research on that one.
