I have had an ongoing issue of misdelivered mail. I know of at least two occasions where the man to whom it was delivered tossed my mail in the garbage. Just today, the carrier handed me a package to the wrong address. We discussed the issue, she apologized and 10 minutes later, a neighbor brought me a package that had been delivered to his address in error by this same carrier.
My huband and I have missed invitations, important business documents and insurance information. We can only assume these items were misdelivered and not rerouted by the recipient. It is, after all, the carrier's responsibility to correctly deliver the mail, not the residents of the neighborhood.
I have spoken to the post master in person twice about this issue. There is an "orange card" for my address, but this is not working. I am not inclined to go to the post master again, since it is obviously fruitless.
Please remedy this situation at a higher level.
Is this what I can expect?
