Good intentions

You know what? I am just about sick unto death of good intentions. And it would appear that I am not the only one. I cite:

“It takes your enemy and your friend, working together, to hurt you: the one to slander you, and the other to get the news to you.” Mark Twain

“Remember, people will judge you by your actions, not your intentions. You may have a heart of gold -- but so does a hard-boiled egg.”

“The evil that is in the world almost always comes of ignorance, and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence if they lack understanding.” Albert Camus

“We judge others by their behavior. We judge ourselves by our intentions.”
Ian Percy

So, don't tell me that you want only what's "best for me", because what you really want is what you want, and that is to force your ideas and opinions into my life.

Maybe it would be a good intention for you to keep your damn thoughts and opinions to yourself. Or keep a journal. Or write to Dear Abby.

Where I came from, it is a source of a lot of mistrust and miscommunication, it is unfair, but that is how it is.
